Online Course: Building Your Personal Resilience

Building Your Personal Resilience is now available as a self-paced eLearning course.

Comprising three video lessons, and supported by mp3 audio techniques and integration tools via the Working Mind app, the course provides your staff with the knowledge, skills and resources they need to build and sustain their resilience in the long term. The course is ideal for:

  • New staff induction – providing your newest people with the self-management skills they need to flourish
  • Individual support – assisting employees to better manage stress, challenge and change
  • Hybrid/remote workers – offering accessible, relevant and globally available training.

 

How it works

Course Structure

The course provides skills-based, experiential learning supported by evidence-based theory and workplace integration tools. Participants learn through a combination of formal presentation, self-reflection & assessment, eLearning tools and practical skills training. 

The training experience comprises:

  • Three video lessons of 15-30 minutes duration
  • Ten minutes of skills training and practice per lesson
  • Training in the use of take-away resources and integration tools
  • Three self-assessment quizzes
  • A downloadable completion certificate.

The course can be accessed directly via the Working Mind website or embedded in your organisation’s LMS.

Learning Outcomes

On completion, participants will be able to:

Lesson 1: Assessing Your Personal Resilience

Lesson 2: Building Your Stress Resilience

  • Recognising the signs and symptoms of stress & burnout
  • The effects of prolonged stress on health, performance and relationships
  • Switching off the ‘fight or flight’ stress response
  • Recharge: practical techniques for building resilience to prolonged stress
  • Reboot: in-the-moment techniques for coping with adversity and bouncing back.

Lesson 3: Building a Resilient Mindset

  • Responding to change: developing an open, aware and flexible mind-set
  • Mindfulness: awareness and regulation of unhelpful thoughts and emotions
  • Differentiation: influence what you can and let go of what you can’t
  • Stop. Notice. Focus. – reconnecting with your locus of control.

Through the Working Mind app, participants receive permanent access to key training resources including the BYPR workbook, mp3 audio techniques, research links and workplace integration tools.

The app supports the integration of resilience skills and reinforces the key learnings of the course.

 

Skills Enhancement Course

The BYPR Skills Enhancement Course is a take-away, self-study program that supports participants to apply their training in their working and personal lives. The course promotes experiential learning, skills integration and long-term behavioural change. The course includes:
